FRAC SAND
The use of hydraulic fracturing or "fracking" has increased significantly in the last 10 years because of new horizontal drilling and multi-stage fracking (or “completions”) technologies that improve access to natural gas and oil deposits. This process can also generate high levels of dust with respirable crystalline silica. The National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) identified exposure to airborne silica as a health hazard to workers conducting some hydraulic fracturing operations during recent field studies. At Environmental Solutions, we can work with you to mitigrate this risk through the implementation of dust control technologies.
GRAIN PROCESSING
Grain processing applications require reliable dust collection and combustible dust mitigation solutions. WELDING FUMES
In welding operations, workers are in a daily contact with harmful weld fume particulate because weld fume is made up of 30 to 80% submicron-sized particles. That means that most of these particles are respirable (enter the lungs), which makes it critical to have reliable, high performance fume collectors, weld fume extraction and weld smoke filters that collect the fume before it reaches your welder’s breathing zone. Environmental Solutions can assist you by engineering a Donaldson Torit welding fume extraction solution that will help safeguard your welding work environment.
FLAMMABLE METAL METAL DUST
The metal fabrication industry has to deal with aluminum, magnesium and titanium, and is exposed to many standards set by the NFPA 484 for Explosive Combustible Metal Dust. Machining, grinding and related work on these metals generates a dust that is both flammable and explosive and needs to be collected and stored under water to prevent spark ignition of the gathered material. Environmental Solutions has a broad range of experience installing Wet Collectors, such as ReplaceAIR® Environmental's Downdraft Tables and Wet Collectors, which meet or exceed all relevant NFPA and OSHA Standards.
